IL SIGNIFICATO DI FORWARD 2020
The second event within FORWARD, the think tank created by Gruppo Contec for the dissemination of knowledge and debate upon innovation in construction, keeps the target fixed on interoperability.
Even this year the topic is the digitalization of the AEC sector and openBIM. In particular, FORWARD will focus on the use of data in a digital and open format in the informative processes that occur throughout the different phases of the building process.
IFC, but not only IFC.
BCF, XML, CSV, GBXML: there can be several open data formats, and operative procedures related with these formats, through which the professionals use to solve the many interoperability issues that arise daily.
The 2020 edition of FORWARD gives a chance to those ones that would like to show their experience in this field: the development of a research project – theoretical or applied – the definition of a company procedure, the adoption of openBIM processes within an actual project, are only a few examples of the actions that we want to have on stage, since we strongly believe in the usefulness of their sharing with the insiders, technicians and not.
If you feel that your work deserves to be explained, let’s participate following the instructions you can find in the relevant section (Come partecipare). Architectural and engineering companies, technical professionals, contractors, owners and facility managers, software houses, manufacturers.
A Scientific Committee made up by experts in the field will select the most valuable papers which are going to be presented during the next edition of FORWARD, in October 2020.
The selected papers – edited in the form of articles – are going to be published in the conference proceedings after the event.
The best article will be awarded with a prize of 500 euros.

Anche quest’anno, l’attenzione si concentra sulla digitalizzazione nelle costruzioni e dell’openBIM. In particolare, il focus è posto sull’utilizzo del dato in formato interoperabile nei processi informativi che riguardano le diverse fasi del processo edilizio.
IFC, ma non solo IFC.
BCF, XML, CSV, TXT, GBXML: possono essere molteplici i formati aperti, e le procedure operative ad essi riferite, a cui ricorriamo nella quotidianità per risolvere le questioni che affollano le nostre scrivanie circa la comunicazione fra software (e professionisti) diversi.
L’edizione di quest’anno è l’occasione per chi volesse presentare la propria esperienza in questo ambito: lo sviluppo di una ricerca – teorica o sperimentale – la definizione di una prassi aziendale, l’implementazione di processi openBIM in un progetto reale, sono alcuni esempi delle azioni a cui daremo spazio e che crediamo sia utile vengano condivise fra gli addetti ai lavori, tecnici e non.
Se il tuo lavoro merita di essere raccontato, partecipa seguendo le istruzioni riportate nella sezione Partecipare.
Società di Ingegneria e Architettura, professionisti, consulenti, imprese, gestori di patrimoni immobiliari, software house, produttori di materiali, ma anche studenti, ricercatori, tutti possono presentare la propria candidatura.
Un Comitato Scientifico composto da esperti del settore selezionerà i contributi più significativi che saranno presentati durante la prossima edizione di FORWARD in ottobre. I contributi selezionati – presentati sotto forma di articoli – saranno pubblicati in un dossier diffuso a seguito dell’evento.
All’autore/autrice del migliore articolo verrà riconosciuto un contributo di 500 euro.
L’edizione 2020 di FORWARD non tradisce il suo spirito originale: uno spazio aperto per diffondere cultura, un momento per conoscere cose e persone nuove, per porsi domande e, magari, trovare qualche risposta.

BIS-lab® indaga nuovi metodi e procedure operative nel campo dei processi informativi che caratterizzano il mondo delle costruzioni, dalla fase di mobilitazione dell’iniziativa al facility management.
La prospettiva è dunque duplice: la prima è di mettere a punto, coordinandole e raccordandole, le applicazioni già mature e disponibili, la seconda è di monitorare l’evoluzione tecnologica sempre in atto, per innovare e stimolare l’aggiornamento di ogni fase del processo, dal progetto, alla costruzione, al monitoraggio e alla gestione.
Un particolare interesse è rivolto all’applicazione della metodologia BIM – Building Information Modeling (BIM), intesa, in particolare, come strada verso l’orizzonte dell’interoperabilità dei processi, attraverso la quale si possano realizzare sinergie e opportunità tra discipline oggi solamente adiacenti.
COME PARTECIPARE
Two ways to participate for free in FORWARD 2020: Contributor or Participant
Contributor
You should answer to the call for paper within the date defined in the relevant section (Scadenze).
The call requires:
-1) profile through the form you can find clicking here.
In case of multiple authors for a single paper, each author should transmit his/her profile via the form previously mentioned. In case a single author decides to participate submitting more than one paper, he/she should state in the form the titles of all the papers submitted.
2) the transmission of your paper/papers’ abstract, that should be edited using the template you can download here and be sent via e-mail to forward@gruppocontec.it, object “Forward 2020 – Abstract”.
The document attached to the email should be named in the following way: F20_Abstract_*Author last name*_*Brief title*
In case of multiple authors for a single paper the last name of the main author or the first one in alphabetical order should be used. The fields *Author last name* and *Brief title* should not include spaces; different words should be separated with the first letter uppercase.
Once you have submitted your paper and your profile, you will receive an e-mail notification in two working days, informing you your submission has been received. Then, following the milestones defined in the relevant section (Scadenze) you will be informed if your paper/s has/have been selected to be presented during the event.
Simultaneously we will publish in this website the instructions to undertake the next steps (the writing of the article and the editing of the presentation).
Participant
In order to participate at the selected paper presentation, you will need to register through the link that will be provided in this website in the next weeks.
Contributor

La call richiede:
- trasmissione del proprio profilo personale, attraverso la compilazione del modulo riportato a questo link.
Nel caso più utenti decidano di collaborare presentando un unico contributo, la trasmissione del profilo dovrà essere effettuata da ciascuno degli autori.
Qualora uno stesso utente decida di partecipare presentando più contributi, dovrà indicare nel modulo i titoli di tutti i contributi presentati; - trasmissione di un abstract illustrativo del proprio contributo, da redigere utilizzando il modello scaricabile qui e da inviare all’indirizzo forward@gruppocontec.it indicando come oggetto “Forward 2020 – Abstract”.
Il file contenente l’abstract dovrà essere denominato secondo la dicitura:
F20_Abstract_*Cognome autore*_*Titolo sintetico*.
Nel caso di autori molteplici, dovrà essere indicato il cognome del principale o del primo in ordine alfabetico; i campi *Cognome autore* e *Titolo sintetico* non dovranno prevedere spazi, parole distinte verranno separate attraverso l’utilizzo della prima lettera maiuscola.
Esempio: F20_Abstract_Einstein_ElettrodinamicaCorpiInMovimento.docx
Inviato il materiale richiesto, riceverai una mail di avvenuta ricezione da parte dell’organizzazione entro due giorni lavorativi.
Successivamente, seguendo le scadenze di cui alla relativa sezione, ti verrà comunicato se il contributo è stato selezionato per essere presentato il giorno dell’evento.
Contestualmente pubblicheremo su questo sito le indicazioni per rispondere agli step successivi (redazione articolo e slide illustrative).
